Clean interface and easy to use

Great SSH program and the latest update makes it even easier to use. Touch ID unlocking is greatly appreciated too!

serious tool for remote access

This tool is extremely flexible, clean, fast and well designed. It lets you connect, do real work with an optimized design that gets out of your way. Excellent value - well worth the cost as the developer is quick to improve and squash bugs / annoyances when they crop up. Highly customizable themes for people that care how their terminal looks. The default is very usable. The 2.5 update is a great one - many new features for power users.

The colors! The COLORS!

Thank you Panic for making ssh beautiful.

When will support SSH V1 ?

Please add support SSH V1 Ill give 5Stars after that!

Best possible terminal emulator.

There are none better. If you need ssh access to a remote server you can stop searching.

Needs iPad Pro support

Not a bad ssh alternative but it has a couple of annoying issue, such as the - key and autocomplete sometimes requiring more than one press of the - key, for example. It is too bad that there is no support for the ipad pro, its large screen and its much better keyboard. Revised: new update fixes things and adds proper iPad Pro support.

Split Screen Multitasking

A great SSH app, highly recommended. I appreciate their continued updates that take advantage of new iOS features, although I wish they were more timely.

New features

thank you for adding split screen

Perfect update!

Finally iPad Pro support. Love the new update, its a perfect Terminal for the iPad Pro now, and still perfect for the iPhone.

A great app is now even better

The most important part of this latest update (for me, at least) is proper iPad Pro support. This app is great! Highly recommended.

Latest version breaks agent forwarding

Ive been a paid Prompt user for a year or so and absolutely loved the app. Unfortunately the latest version has made a very serious change to security which renders it unusable for me. In prior versions, Prompt supported agent forwarding, key-based authentication and storing of key pass phrases as three unique features you can choose to make use of, which is how it should be. In 2.5, agent forwarding is no longer usable with key-based authentication UNLESS you also save your private key pass phrase on your iOS device. My ssh key pass phrase is not something I want saved on any portable device regardless of how good Apples encryption is (well soon find out with the Apple vs US gov battle over the locked iPhone). So, the fact that I do not want to store my pass phrase on my iPad means Im no longer able to ssh through one server to another using Prompt and agent forwarding. The old version did it find and didnt force me to save my pass phrase.

2-factor auth now working for me!

Getting better, 2-factor auth now working for me (yay) - note: It offers to remember the password in the popup (after key is accepted) but it doesnt. Now that it works Ill try to do a better review and update my rating. The basics work at least.

Amazing Upgrade

This is a phenomenal upgrade from version 1. Only thing I believe it is lacking is the ability to copy the connections from Promp to Prompt 2 with the click of a single button.

Nice job

Now with the split screen, this truly is the best ssh app out there. The syncing works awesome, and the app as a whole is worth every cent. Good job guys

The best!

If you do any command line work, Prompt is the best!

Just keeps getting better and better

Oh Prompt, how doest I love thee? Let me count the ways. On second thought, the ways are too numerous to count. Certainly more ways than Paul Simon has to lose his lover, or a cat can be skinned, or outages can ruin a network admins weekend. Just today, I hit the "select text opens servers list" bug only to find an update with fix in the App Store literally a few minutes later. Nice. Split screen on iPad Pro? Excellent. 3D Touch to launch most recent sessions? Beautiful. New fonts and flexible themes? Bliss.

Great SSH terminal emulator

This is my current favorite SSH client for iOS. Great design and good functionality. Great enhancement in the latest version to allow selecting a font size from 7-24pt instead of being limited to just Small / Medium / Large. Plus, no more issues running `top`. Yay. Its nice that you can export the private key for generated keys. Its always good to not feel "locked in", especially for something like SSH keys. To sync devices, Panic does make you sign up for their own "Panic Sync" service instead of just using the iCloud Drive everybody already has. Id like to at least see iCloud as an option. Finally, Id like to see support for port forwarding in a future release, especially if Panic can figure out some way to keep the session active while in the background...

Great ssh app

Prompt is a wonderful ssh app. I dont know why its not at the top of the results for ssh, it should be. It works well and has a nice layout to use to access to all the keyboard keys you might want to hit. This is the ssh app you want.

Prompt

Thank you kindly for the update but you’re still asking me to trust you with your sync services. I can’t do that. Please add iCloud support as to sync connections across device using Apple’s iCloud…. as an option. not suggesting to remove your sync services.

Its the best!

The best terminal app for iOS. Period!
